Many thanks for letting me take some images last Thursday at the Cygnet. Here are 2 galleries of monochrome images below, one gallery of Byron and one of the Trio. I hope you like them, the colour versions were quite flat..just click on an image and follow through the gallery. If you want any or all images, and there is no charge, we can arrange a file transfer on maybe We Transfer or similar.
Maybe if you are happy I can occasionally take more images at future gigs, again with no charge. It helps my online studies with Falmouth University but there is no pressure. At this gig I only brought a telephoto lens with me so the perspective is quite compressed. Coach was too close to get wider photographs.
Byron there are some links to Gnawa/Sufi stuff below; I followed and photographed the Gnawa, zaouias, Aisha Quandisha etc eventually making Essaouira a base. On my website there are more articles about Essaouira and Morocco generally. I see you have a degree in psychology/philosophy/mathematics; you might find these articles interesting, at least I hope so. Travelling through and eventually living in Morocco was great fun.
Best wishes.
Ps have obtained a cd copy of Meeting Ground, and listened to Bambaraka, enjoyed both very much.
