What is a Celtic landscape?
The great atlantic ocean buffets the granite cliffs of the West Penwith coastline. The high craggy moors cut through the low scudding clouds. The twisted knotty woods conceal groves where healing wells and clouties draw the prayers of the inhabitants, the activities of covens and the rites of Druids . The farms of granite and metal and barns sit quietly as autumnal storms clear. The churches and cemeteries are as old as the lichen which live on their granite. Pilgrims walk the sacred footpaths of the landscape meandering from night to day and saint to saint, the mud of piety on their boots.
