Great Stone Project 2022 :
I again use the archaeological term ‘Material Culture’ to denote the landscape as I saw it on the Isle of Lewis, with a particular emphasis on documenting the structural elements of that landscape which mostly reflected human occupation or activity. My goal was to suggest that the geological landscape is relatively unchanging, but the occupation by man is ephemeral and changeable.
