A series of portraits of people from Kolkata has been uploaded as a gallery. The photographs were taken in and around the Flower Market, Kalighat and Tollygunge and therefore within a ‘stone’s throw’ of the river Ganges. All were taken with full consent and participation. I used 2 different camera systems ( Canon and Fuji ) and with lenses of a similar ( 35mm ) focal length. They are to some degree environmental character studies rather than conventional ‘street photography’ and feature mostly people at their job.
