I have added 3 new Image Galleries over the last few days.  These are from last year’s trip to Kolkata’s  Durga Puja festival and depict the passage of the clay idols  from the the potter’s village of Kumortuli, as well as the final rituals of the festival where the decorated idols are ceremoniously placed in the Ganges and the clay recycled.   Specifically the titles and links are Transporting Idols by Land Transporting Idols by River and Drowning Idols.  Most of the images from Kolkata have now been added,  the only collection still outstanding are images from the original waterway through K0lkata to the Bay of Bengal,  the Adi Ganga,  and the monstrous temple Kalighat which will be added soon.
